Factory grey suits a Lucid Air the way a grey suit suits everyone: perfectly fine, instantly forgettable. The owner wanted a color that matched how the car actually feels to drive.

Green was the answer, applied as film rather than paint. EV paint tends to run thin from the factory, so putting the color in a protective layer solved two problems at once: the look the owner wanted, and a barrier between Dallas highways and paint that costs serious money to respray.

The glass roof, flush handles, and long single-piece panels of the Air demand patient, precise film work. Panel by panel, the grey disappeared. The slider above shows the moment the car stopped being anonymous.
